We had a great time today making applesauce!
We kept it simple with only 6 apples (gala and ginger gold).
After washing the apples the boys put their weight into slicing the apples.
We added the apples to a pot of boiling water.
Then we all took turns grinding the soft apples in the food mill.
The skins got ground in the food mill and added flavor and nutrients to the apple sauce. YUMMY!
So naturally sweet we didn't need to add any sugar... just a little cinnamon.
It definitely won't last long!
